CYRIL ROSS -  ACTIVITIES

The children participate in singing, latin dance, swimming, football, art and gardening.These activities are pursued for recreational purposes and to assist them to be focussed and disciplined.

Some of the children had the opportunity to sing at a benefit concert at Queens Hall alongside world famous pianist Charles Bunner.

One of our resident Artist has his work displayed at the Sweet Lime restaurant in Port of Spain all the pieces displayed were sold.

Art Class                                         

Colors of Life tutor Artist Aisha Mc Cloud is tutoring the children.  She teaches many new techniques in painting and drawing and the children have all begun to use acrylics, pencil and a bit of water colours,  All of the pieces on this site were done by children eight to seventeen years of age, and they are mounted for display at the Nursery.

Sports        

The children are engaged in football, swimming and they enjoy running races.  At our Sports & Family Day they participate in all the races and are quite competitive. Some of them are also trained in the techniques of football and attend practice sessions on a Saturday morning with a football club. Most of them swim and are at varying levels of competence. They begin learning to swim from age three.

Studying                                                 

The children are in the Steve Solomon Computer Lab doing research for their school projects, after which there is a bit of relaxation playing games. Some of the teens study at nights, while others prefer to do so very early in the morning.

Hobbies

Artist Aisha Mc Cloud is tutoring the children, she teachs them techniques in painting and drawing.Growing corn, cucumbers, sweet peppers, various herbs for seasoning food, like chives, celery, parsley also tending to the small flower garden provides joy and a spirit of achievement for the children.
